Submissions to Council – IMPORTANT

Hi Everyone,

The way to participate in the Planning Approval process is to make a Submission to Council. These can be accepted until 15 November 2013. Please do it now. Don’t wait. Don’t miss this opportunity to be heard. If you think of something additional that you would like to say after your first submission, you can make subsequent submissions.

More information is available at http://www.gladesvillecommunity.com/submissions.html

Please find attached a sample which you might find useful if you would like to make a submission. This can easily be modified to capture your personal message, or you may prefer to write your own submission from scratch.

Gladesville Shopping Village exhibition extended, new information meeting, and more

Hi Everyone,

The exhibition period has been extended by Council and will now end on 15 November. We all need to make our Submissions to Council by this date, in order to be heard. Also, you are usually not permitted to make a Presentation to the Meeting of the Joint Regional Planning Panel (if you decide later that you want do so) before they accept or reject this development, unless you’ve made a Submission to Council during the exhibition period.
GladesvilleCommunity will be publishing some example submissions which have been made by members and supporters, which may help you if you’re not sure how to write your own. The will be available soon.
There will also be in information meeting held by Architectus, the firm engaged by Council to assess the development application, as a result of Council’s conflict of interest in this development. The meeting will be held on Wednesday 6 November at Council chambers, more details are on the Council website or at www.GladesvilleCommunity.com.
We have also posted a number of Presentations to Council from Monday 14 October, made by members and supporters of this group, on the website, and other updates.
Please keep an eye on the website. Updates are now listed at the bottom of the front page, so you can easily ensure that you’re up-to-date.

GSV Traffic and Parking meeting – RSL Club Wed 16th Oct at 7pm

Hi Everyone,

Just a reminder about the Traffic and Parking information meeting which will be held tomorrow (Wednesday) evening at the Gladesville RSL Club, at 7pm.
The meeting was originally scheduled to start earlier, but the start time was pushed back at the request of the public. This announcement on the Hunters Hill Council website was updated with the revised start time.
With all the development planned for both the Ryde and Hunters Hill Municipalities’ sides of Victoria Road, getting to and from Gladesville and parking in the area may become significantly more challenging in years to come. This could impact residents, shoppers, parents of school-children, diners at restaurants, and the businesses which rely on adequate parking for their customers.
Come along and hear what the developer has to say, and have your say!
